The Usenet newsgroup misc.consumers.frugal-living first was announced as an official newsgroup November 21, 1995, with the first posting a day later. This Frugal Corner website first became live and operational in 1995, and finally became live at www.frugalcorner.com April 2001.

1994 - The early beginnings of the Usenet process for establishing the misc.consumers.frugal-living newsgroup was started as I found a mentor and started early discussions and drafts for the process.
1995 - Frugal Corner website established. Exact date is unknown at this time.
1995, August 9 - I posted an RFD (Request for Discussion) document on August 9, 1995 on news.announce.newgroups. It was proposed to be called misc.consumers.frugal.
1995, Sept 5 - A slightly revised and final edition of the RFD was posted on Usenet on September 5, 1995 by my mentor (who added notes regarding it being a revised edition and what changes had been made in the actual posted version) in news.announce.newgroups. Refer to the original RFD document (Request for Discussion) for the establishment of misc.consumers.frugal-living . It is the final proposal document after many drafts and discussions over many months.
1995, Oct 23 - The CFV (Call for Votes) occured between Oct 23 and Nov 13, 1995
1995, Nov 13 - The final official Usenet vote for the creation of misc.consumers.frugal-living ended and results announced.
1995, Nov 21 - Misc.consumers.frugal-living was announced in news.announce.newgroups and live as a new official newsgroup
1995, Nov 22 - Misc.consumers.frugal-living received its first posting.
1998, Dec 22 - frugalcorner.com is officially registered. Unfortunately, I was not getting cooperation with my Internet provider to make it live even though that service was included in my account. Due to other services I was hosting on my account, it would be a couple years until I transitioned to other providers.
2001, April 26 - Frugal Corner website finally switched to the official domain name www.frugalcorner.com.
2003, April - Added the Google search box to allow searching of frugalcorner.com and made a long list of updates and corrections on the Frugal Corner website. The Google search box will gradually become more useful as I add more of Frugal Corner's own documents and pages.
2005, June 29 - Updated pages to conform to HTML 4.01 web standards. The Frugal Corner is now dedicated to creating and maintaining pages that are compliant with official web standards. See recommended browsers for more information on browsers that support web standards
